Astronomy at DMEC

Far from city lights and high in the mountains, the night skies in Fort Davis are world-renowned for stargazing.

DMEC boasts a telescope and viewing pad on site. As part of most of our programs, our resident astronomer leads classroom discussions of current events in astronomy, followed by star and planet viewing through our telescopes.
