Junior-Senior High School Field Trips (Fort Davis, Davis Mountains, and Big Bend region)
"Because it was so wonderful, I have to write about the 7th grade year-end field trip and thank Mr. Rumrich and Kirby Hall for providing such great learning experiences for our children. The 7th grade went to Fort Davis in West Texas and stayed at the Davis Mountains Education Center... The days were packed with activities, ...full of discovery, learning and fun. ... Someone asked me what my favorite part of the trip was. I couldn't answer. All of it was my favorite. Now I can say that my favorite part was what it did for the children. You could see how much more integrated the group was at the end, compared to the beginning of the trip."

"The staff presenters were very professional and accommodating. The kitchen and facilities staff made wonderful food. The sleeping areas and meeting rooms were top notch. Director Scott Turner went out of his way to make sure we were properly taken care of. The office staff did so as well, lending a family type atmosphere to Davis Mountains Education Center. I have already made my reservations for next year to come back."

West Texas and Big Bend National Park (Fort Davis, Lajitas, Terlingua, and Big Bend National Park, TX)
I gained a new perspective on Texas. The views were awesome and I enjoyed the colors and shadows of the desert. Attending the reenactment of Fort Davis was a nice surprise. Every meal was a culinary adventure; enjoyed them all no matter how simple or elaborate. Our guides, Cynta & Darren, were friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. It's true... the stars are big and bright in West Texas!! Yi-ha!

"We can’t begin to tell you what a wonderful time we had on our tour of the Copper Canyon. It was a perfect experience!! Everything was just the greatest. We were very sad when it ended. It was the best tour we’ve ever been on!!"
- San Diego, CA
"Everything about the Copper Canyon experience was superb - from the "starry starry night" gazing to Ernesto's leadership and care on the trip. His knowledge, experience, his good humor and support in all situations, what a treasure. The meals at [Davis Mountains Education Center] and the one-string bass and guitar guys on the last night made it a perfect ending!
